Appointments System
Urgent Appointments
We offer appointments on the day with our nurse practitioner and an on-call GP.
Advance Booking
Appointments may also be booked up to one or two months in advance (depending on when the rota has been finalised). Some appointments are ‘embargoed’ to ensure adequate availability within advanced access targets but about 75% are kept open for advance booking.
Choice of Practitioner
Patients are always free to choose which practitioner to see subject to availability at the time and date required.
Review
The appointments system is kept under continuous review and adjustments made as the rota is established month by month. A formal review takes place annually within the analysis of the patient questionnaire results.
